Moto X4 Vs Moto G6
After this comparison, you will understand your choice! First, I will list the full specifications of each device and then compare their key specs!
Moto X4 Specifications
So, let’s check the specs of Moto X4!
Moto X4 comes with the IPS LCD display of 5.2″ inches. The 1080 × 1920 pixels makes it more impressive.
The screen to body ratio is 16:9, but there are some puzzles in the phone. The pixel per density is 424 and 16M colours.
The screen is protected by gorilla glass 3 which is a great thing but the upper version of gorilla glass is more preferable.
The android operating system is 7.1 which is upgradable to Android 9 pie. So, you no need to worry about android OS.
Also, the company claims that their moto X4 device is water-resistant up to 1.5m.

RAM and Processor
So, now its time to explore the performance of moto X4.
There are three variants available for moto X4. They are:
- 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage
- 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage
- 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage
So, you don’t need to compromise with RAM and storage. But there is no option for 128 GB storage. If you are looking for a 128 GB smartphone then Moto X4 can’t offer you the same.
The chipset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 which is based on 14 nm. In my opinion, it is not a high performing chipset but it is decent.
You can play PUBG in medium or low settings. But you can’t experience dynamic gaming. If you want an authentic gaming Smartphone then there are many other devices available in the market.
The processor is 2.2 GHz Octa-Core with Adreno GPU 508.
Overall, it is a good processor.
So, the most interesting thing about Motorola devices is the camera. Now, let’s take a look at camera specs.
The main camera is the dual-camera setup with 12 MP (f/2.0) dual-pixel + 8 MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide.
The camera quality is stunning. You can capture beautify, realistic and blur images easily.
Also, there are other features like exposure, focus, panorama, HDR are also included.
The selfie camera is 7 MP with LED flash. The selfie camera is also amazing too!
The video quality is also great!
The battery of the Moto X4 is 3000 mAh. I was not expecting such a low battery backup. I Totally disappointed.
In 2020, nobody wants to use a smartphone with a 3000 mAh battery. It is the main drawback of Moto X4.
But if you can compromise with this then you can go for moto X4.
The great thing is that it comes with 15 W fast charging support.

So, now let’s check some other important features of Moto X4.
Moto X4 has a front-mounted fingerprint sensor in the home button. Also, there are some other sensors like accelerometer, proximity, gyroscope and etc.
The 3.5 mm jack port is present which is a great deal. And the type-C port makes it more attractive.
There are two different colours options are available (Super black and sterling blue).
The price of Moto X4 higher variant (6 GB RAM) is Rs. 24,999/- or £200 on Flipkart.
It is too much expensive. In this kind of specifications, other Smartphone brands offer you an awesome deal but if you are a Motorola tough fan then who I am to stop you.
Moto G6 Specs
After the complete specifications of Moto X4, its time to reveal the specs of Moto G6.
So, the Moto G6 comes with the display of 5.7″ inches of screen. The screen to body ratio is 18:9. It means Moto G6 has fewer dazzles as compared to Moto X4.
The pixels is 1080 × 2160 which makes the display more smooth and bright. It is an IPS LCD display.
The pixel per density is 424 with 16 M colours and the screen is protected by gorilla glass 3 which is same as Moto X4.
The android operating system is Android 8.0 Oreo which is upgradable to Android 9.0 pie.
Again the same android OS like Moto X4. But initially, you have to run android 7 in X4.

RAM and Processor
It is very interesting to know the performance of moto G6. I want to tell you one thing that Moto G series has not good performing processor.
There are two different variants available for moto G6. The base variant has 3 GB Ram + 33 GB storage and higher one has 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage.
Again, you don’t get an internal memory of 128 GB. But you can increase it any time by the external micro SD card.
The chipset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 which is based on 14 nm. It is not designed for gaming. However,r you can play PUBG in low settings.
In terms of heavy usage, I don’t recommend it. If your priority is gaming then you have many other options too.
Because Snapdragon 430 is not capable to run heavy multiplayer games or apps. You need to stick yourself at low graphics.
And you can’t experience smooth gaming in this chipset.
The processor is octa-core 1.8 GHz and Adreno GPU 506.
The main highlight of the Moto G6 is the camera!
The rear camera has a dual setup with 12 MP (f/1.8) PDAF + 5 MP (f/2.2) depth sensor.
The rear camera of Moto G6 is slightly better than Moto x6. It has more features and stabilisation.
Also, in the video, you will experience more stability than Moto X4.
The selfie camera has 5 megapixels with aperture f/2.2. It comes with an LED flash. I don’t know why front cameras have led flash. It is quite irritating.
The battery backup is only 3000 mAh which is same as moto X4. Motorola has to increase the battery capacity to make its devices worthy.
15 W fast charging support is available which is a great thing.
Now here are the more mini specs of Moto G6.
The 3.5 mm jack is available and type-C port is also available.
WLAN features like FM radio, WiFi and hotspot, GPS are available.
A fingerprint sensor, proximity, accelerometer, gyroscope and another kind of sensors are available.
The price tag of Moto G6 on Amazon is Rs. 14,999/-. It is a mid-range Smartphone while Moto X4 is a flagship Smartphone.
There is a big difference between their prices.
Because Moto X4 has a better processor, 6 GB RAM and others.
